With its presence in the US, Smartlift wants to create greater flexibility in relation to American customers to meet their needs and deliver an even higher level of service. Along with his family, current CCO Flemming Storm Nielsen will move to the US and become the daily managing director of the sales company, in close collaboration with the parent company in Denmark. 

The sales company will be headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, where it is Smartlift’s intention to establish a local supply chain, allowing them to meet American customers’ needs for intelligent and innovative glass lifters. In the long term, Smartlift will also establish sites around the US, from where they will be able to handle service tasks, orders for spare parts and sales in order to ensure flexibility and a high level of service for their customers.

Collaboration to continue
For the past four years, Smartlift has partnered with distributor Don Brooks, GLLS. Through this collaboration, the US market has shown great potential, which is why the strong collaboration between Smartlift and GLLS to increase market interest in Smartlift and their products will continue. GLLS will handle the sale of Smartlift’s services in the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Kentucky, Missouri and Tennessee.

Smartlift’s growth journey
Smartlift has been on an immense growth journey since 2012, when Nicolai Tange Jørgensen and Vækst-Invest, represented by Partner Lars Bundgaard Sørensen, invested in the company. Now, the ownership group is looking forward to continuing the growth journey in the US in collaboration with CEO Jacob Libach Nielsen and his team.
